Kirsten is passionate about the benefits of health information technology (HIT) for patients and providers alike and believes that continual process improvement through the integration of electronic health record (EHR) systems and health information exchange (HIE) will improve care and outcomes. She understands the value of enhancing customer service at the front end, in clinical environments, and in supporting the accuracy and integrity of medical records when it comes to telling the patient’s health story. This approach benefits patients, physicians, care givers, research/data analytics, public health and communities at large. She believes in working together to grow and improve health care systems.
Kirsten has several years of experience working with physician practices and their EHRs in the HIE environment at Southern Tier HealthLink (STHL), a Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO). She has served in multiple capacities including consultant, trainer, project coordinator, physician practice liaison, and data support specialist. At HealthNow NY she helped independent and group practices through the intricacies of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) claims submission and enrollment processes including electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions.
Kirsten is a people person and easily bridges the gap between humanity and technology to help make the journey more enjoyable.
